About Sean

Sean and his wife, Courtney, are the proud parents of four Littleton Public Schools graduates. Sean has partnered with the district for more than 22 years, including serving on LPS boards and committees.  He is guided by the belief that strong schools build strong communities — and that every student deserves the opportunity to thrive in a supportive, inclusive learning environment.

Professionally, he’s spent the past 25 years working in the greater Littleton area as Executive Director of the Binning Family Foundation helping thousands of students develop leadership and life skills to prepare them to succeed in school and beyond.

Inspired by Family, Grounded in Service

Sean’s lifelong relationships as a son, brother to five sisters, husband, father, supportive friend and mentor to many have deeply shaped his inclusive perspective on public education that now fuels his commitment to serving on the LPS Board of Education.

His own children navigated varied and unique educational journeys – sometimes the path was smooth and at other times filled with pitfalls and disappointment. Sean feels so grateful that each of his kids received the support they needed when they needed it most, whether in the form of academic, social-emotional or mental health support. He wants other LPS students and families to receive the support from the LPS community that they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

Beyond the District

Professionally, Sean has worked in nonprofit leadership, education, and community development – contributing expertise in building consensus, fostering collaboration, and supporting equitable youth opportunities.

While living in the LPS District for more than 25 years, Sean has served as the Executive Director for the Binning Family Foundation, a private foundation created to design and operate programs that directly improve the quality of life for Colorado youth by supporting their personal development through teaching and reinforcing life and employment skills.

Sean also coached youth baseball and football for over a decade – aligning not only with sharing his passion for the games, but also leveraging his strengths in teaching leadership and teamwork skills to young people to prepare them to grow into resilient, responsible adults.

Sean’s communication style is open, clear, and honest. His responsibility is to serve with integrity and ensure every voice in our community feels heard. He believes in working together, even when views differ. Whether coaching, teaching, or teaching youth leaders in Littleton, Chicago, or Belfast, Ireland, Sean knows that collaboration and mutual respect move us forward.
